  • Due to an increased time for extracurricular activities, and a rising interest in forests and gaining experience in forestry among the youth and general public as a result of an increase in the five-day workweek
  • Due to not having much space and opportunities for youth and the general public to receive systematic education about the forest
  • The need to construct nature-friendly facilities that provide specialized education and programs which enable the youth and general public to gain differentiated experience with the forest
  • An active model needs to be proposed for a newly improved management of the existing youth training center and forest lodge

  • To provide a space and program where youth from urban areas can easily receive systematic education about the forest and trees
  • To positively influence youth’s emotions and enhance the youth’s understanding about the forest through Green Education on forests and trees and to instill awareness of forest preservation
  • To be used as a place for the public to participate in various meetings, seminar, exhibition, and a meeting place for relevant civic organization as well as a place for advertising forestry

Expected Outcome

  • Establish a foothold for new forestry recreation culture, and provide experience-oriented education by breaking away from the traditional standardized and collective education of youth training facilities.
  • Education and promotionon the environment for the youth who are the future by creating environment-friendly facilities
